The Color of Water
Installation at the Folkestone Triennial, Folkestone, Kent, England
100 flags and color wheel
Dimensions variable
2011

In this installation, a color wheel is used to match the color of the English Channel to one of a palette of 100 Pantone swatches, for each of which there is a flag dyed the same color. The color of the water is matched daily, and a flag hoister raises flags of the corresponding colors over Christchurch Gardens at midday.
