The lengths and colors of the sides these panels were determined by the palettes and proportions of colors used within 17 distinct objects in Georges Seurat’s A Sunday on La Grande Jatte. The front of each panel was painted with a mixture of each of the colors that make up its sides in the same proportions. Each panel has the same surface area, and the combination of all 17 equals the surface area of Seurat’s painting,
